Arsenal has increased their attacking option for next season after they finished the signing of Brazilian international, Willian. The contract will last for three years following his departure from Chelsea. The Brazilian saw his contract with Chelsea expire after their champions league tie against Bayern Munich. However, Mikel Arteta has beaten off the competition from Barcelona and inter Miami to sign the 32-year-old.

Willian Shares welcome speech

Willian said I decided to play for the team because Arsenal is one of the biggest teams in the world. The club has a new project with Mikel Arteta.

I believe the club needs to shine again and I want to be part of the project. To be part of the arsenal family is amazing and I am very happy to do that.

I come to try to win trophies because this club deserves to win once again, and I think you have to do your best as possible to win every match. I always train hard and go on the field to give my best to help this team win games and to win the title as well.

Willian helped Chelsea win European league titles, a Fa cup, and premier league during his seven-year tenure in the club.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta gave a statement after they signed Willian. I believe he is player that will have a positive impact in the team, Arteta said.

We have been monitoring him for some months, we had a clear intention to strengthen the attacking midfielder and also the winger position and he is a player that gives us a lot of versatility. He can play in different positions. He has the experience of everything in the football world but still has the ambition to come here and ring the club where it supposes to be.

I have been really happy with all the talks I have had with him and how much he is willing to come to the club.
