Liverpool has agreed on the deal to sign Bayern Munich midfielder, Thiago Alcantara for the sum of at least £20m, plus £5m in add-ons. The contract is said to last for four years. The 29 years old Spanish midfielder has been a target for the reds this summer. Although there were speculations that Jurden Klopp’s side would refuse to meet the asking price of Alcantara.

Recently, there has been a change of thought as the two teams have agreed on a deal that will see the midfielder play for the reds for four years. Thiago has been eager to leave Bayern after he helped the club lift the champions league title. He also contributed to the club’s winning of the Bundesliga and other trophies.

Thiago Alcantara joined Bayern Munich in 2013 and has been a major key in the club and has secured many trophies for the German club. He will be the second signing for the reds after they completed the signing of Greece left-back, Kostas Tsimikas. The fee will be paid by installment with an add-on of £5m which depends on the success of the club.

Alcantara has waited patiently to leave Germany after he refused to extend his contract with Bayern Munich in May. Alcantara has less than a year in his contract. But the German champions are keen to let him go after he made it clear he decided to leave. His contract situation has been the reason for Liverpool’s hesitance but there is no doubt that the club is signing a world-class player for a fair price.

Thiago has kept his playing role up to his best and there is no club he doesn’t start for. And he will do well to improve Jurden Klopp’s team and would be of good creativity.

When Jurden Klopp was asked about a potential move for Alcantara, he said. “I can’t end speculations as far as the transfer window is still open. It is nice as we are linked with him but that is pretty much it really. It is because he is a good player and Liverpool is a big club. So it is nice.

“Thiago Alcantara is an exceptional player who had a big success here in Bayern Munich for seven years, Hansi Flick said. “He is a great person and an exceptional professional Player. “It was a very emotional moment today when he said goodbye.
