It has been a roller coaster three weeks for Stuart Broad. After dropping from the first test at Ageas Bowl in Southampton, he showed his frustration and unhappiness when he increased his performance in the succeeding two tests.
He proved that he is an irresistible force in seaming conditions after claiming 16 wickets across four innings including a ten-wicket haul in the third test. However, he also stroked a whirlwind 62 off 45 balls in England first inning that saw his team post an eventual series win in total. Broad was named the player of the match and the player of the series. By the virtue of his performance, he is now rated as the no 3 fast bowlers in the world.
His moment came on the fifth morning when he surpassed windies opener, Kraigg Braithwaite, as his 500th scalp. He is now known to be the 7th bowler to reach 500 wickets. And he might break some records before the end of his career.
