Bayern Munich qualifies for the DFB-Pokal Cup final. After Roberto lewandoski scored the winning goal in a 2-1 win against Frankfurt in the alliance arena on Wednesday.


Ivan perisic helped Bayern take the lead in the first half after scoring a superb goal before second half. After half time Bayern lose their playing form in the second 45 minutes. Danny Da Costa got an equalizer for Frankfurt Making the match 1-1.

Roberto Lewandoski who has scored 44 goals for Bayern this season added another superb goal yesterday, pushing Bayern in the final. Bayern had gotten enough chances to win the game in the first half but it never came to be due to hard luck.

Frankfurt came out of their defense and dominated game before getting to earn a goal for their hard work in the 69th minute of the game.

Heading to almost the end of the game Bayern surprised Frankfurt with a second goal from Lewandoski which was denied. After the VAR was reviewed the goal was counted to make Bayern come ahead of Frankfurt.

Bayern coach said after full time, we were not lucky enough in the first half. We should have scored more goals, it was a cup match and we deserved winning. The second half could have been easy if we did well in the first.

Bayer Leverkusen got a 3-0 victory against Saarbruecken in their semifinal game on Tuesday. The forth division side Saarbruecken  broke a record by appearing for the first a German cup semifinal. The club came through by beating four top division team to gain a place in the semis. No club of that division has gone far to that level.

Saarbruecken fans were deprived of watching the match against Leverkusen due to the corona virus pandemic.

Bayern Munich will face Bayer Leverkusen in the final match in Berlin on 4th of July. Now Bayern are up for another 20th DFB-Pokal Cup title.
