Trent Alexander- Arnold turns 22 today.
It’s hard to think of a more talented young full-back on the planet right now than Liverpool’s Alexander-Arnold
The birthday boy has already achieved what many of his peers can only dream of becoming a Premier League and Champions League winner.
He’s also the youngest-ever player to start in back-to-back European Cup finals. Not bad, right?
Trent Alexander- Arnold has made the right-back position in Jurgen Klopp’s line up his own in recent seasons.
Alexander represented England at various youth levels and made his senior debut in 2018
The youngster has already made 138 appearances in all competitions, managing eight goals and 38 assists, since graduating from the Reds youth academy.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was named PFA Young Player of the Year on Tuesday.
The first Liverpool to win then coveted individual award since Steven Gerrard in 2001
” Towards the second half of last season, or even the final quarter after everything that happened,
“I found it a little tougher to find the space and have that freedom,” said Alexander- Arnold
He has truly excelled on the biggest stage and has already proven himself as an elite performer through his dangerous runs, intelligence, set-piece abilities, and those lethal crosses.
The England international, who was also nominated for the 2019 Ballon d’Or, has even bagged 31 assists in the last two seasons alone
It’s an incredible achievement for him. Especially as it’s a rare feat for any defender
Leadership comes in different shapes and sizes and forms, whether that be through actions or words.
He added ” People hit their prime at 30 years old and some at 20 years old. ”
“No career is the same so you can’t judge yourself and compare yourself to other players.”
He is one of the finest talents in the world and a key player for Klopp’s European champions.
