Pierre Aubameyang is closer to signing a new three year deal with Arsenal. The contract will make him become the highest-paid player in the club. The 31-year-old contract is said to expire next summer. And he would be able to leave the club on a free transfer.

The Gunners captain is currently in talks with the arsenal board for several months over extending his stay in the club. However, reports from The Athletic said Aubameyang has finally committed his future in the club and an announcement is imminent. Aubameyang’s new deal will see him get over Willian who just joined the club this summer on a free transfer. Willians receives £220,000 a week, which makes him the second-highest-paid currently after Ozil.
