Odion Ighalo announced his departure on social media that his time at Old Trafford was an honor he will forever cherish.

His contract at Old Trafford was increased due to his dazzle in his eight appearances before lockdown. Odion scored four amazing goals in three starts.

Meanwhile, he had limited time on the field in the 2020/21 season and subsequently returned to his parent club.

In 2015, Odion Ighalo made his debut for the Nigerian national team against Uganda. He represented the nation at the 2018 World Cup.

The player arrived at Old Trafford on a temporary deal on the final day of the 2020 January transfer window to assist Marcus Rashford who was injured.

Ighalo boasts a proven goal-scoring track record with 141 goals to his name in 371 appearances across all competitions. However, he has scored 16 goals in 35 appearances for the Nigerian National team.
