Due to the coronavirus, on Wednesday night the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder NBA season suspended were shifted and afterward, the news of the league being suspended came in.

In Oklahoma City, the players from both teams were called back to the locker rooms. After warming up for the match on the court at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. It was reported by the NBA that the affected player was not yet in the arena and the test results came in before tip-off.

On, Wednesday the League announced NBA season suspended from due to the tested coronavirus positive result.

Until further notice, the suspension of gameplay by NBA even games scheduled to be played tonight. NBA said in a statement.

This break will be used by the NBA to decide their next steps in regard to the coronavirus outbreak so to move on.

The last game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Sacramento Kings that night was decided to be canceled by the organization. The assigned referee for the game has formally worked at a Utah Jazz game, the NBA said.

Wednesday morning, a statement was made that a Utah Jazz player was tested negative for strep throat, influenza, and an upper respiratory infection.

“Before the day was over the symptoms of the individual reduced. However, to be vigilant and careful, cooperation with NBA medical staff and in consultation and also with the Oklahoma health officials, a decision to test for the virus was made. the team said.
In Oklahoma City, the player has been put in the care of health officials.

In a joint statement, Utah Gov. Gary Herbert and Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox, thanked the health officials in Oklahoma for the effort in testing the player of the Utah Jazz for coronavirus and their decision on testing the entire team. He also wished the player a quick recovery.

We are working to identify personnel who had close contact with the player as he has been exposed, they added.

Officials are not speculating

The head coach of Piston, Dwane Casey following the announcement said. “We were more concerned for the rest of the league due to the close contact of the virus”

The decision of the NBA was responded by Casey and other officials and they were in support until the situation has a better grip.  “We are not to surmise on a decision. We have to regroup so to handle things well. The information got to us a few minutes ago. The 76er manager Elton Brand said, “the safety of our fans, players, the staff is of very high importance”.

Despite our preventive measures to contain the virus affecting the league. We were still affected and the league being suspended is the best move, the head coach for the Hawks, Lloyd Pierce said.

“This is a global outbreak. The life of people is in the state. This not just about basketball or about the Mavericks” the owner of the team Mark Cuban said.

After the NBA season suspended, the fans left the game confused.

CNN was told by Juan Guerra II, who claims to be an avid Thunder fan, that the National Anthem and startling lineups have been announced and presented.
“And then, there was a dialogue between the referee and a man on a suit, later the 2 coaches. Before we knew it the Thunder followed the Jazz into the locker room, he said.
Fans were later told to leave the arena by the announcer assuring them of their safety.

Adjustments have been made forcefully by sports leagues due to the coronavirus outbreak. Holiday games and events being suspended without supporters. The Golden State Warriors already announced that the Thursday match would be played behind close door. The match was against Brooklyn Nets in San Francisco even before all matches were suspended by NBA. On Wednesday the NCAA already shifted the annual basketball tournament with only attendance from essential personnel and few families.

Due to the NBA’s decision, a statement was released by the National Hockey League. That the league’s season is still under consideration and there will be an update on Thursday.
