Former double UFC champion, Conor McGregor admitted he would fight Pacquiao. And it has also been made official by the ring legend officers. Manny Pacquiao appears to have agreed he will fight with Conor McGregor in a sensational crossover bout in the middle east.
McGregor said he was ready to face the Philippine boxer. Pacquiao is known as one of the greatest boxers of all time. And he is now a senator in his home country. However, statements from the ring legend office have confirmed the news. And the proceeds from the fight going towards aiding COVID 19 victims.
The statement reads, For the sake of all the Filipino COVID 19 victims, senator manny Pacquiao will be fighting UFC superstar Conor McGregor next year.
The huge portion of his earning will also proceed to those who are affected nationwide by the pandemic. Another statement added that Pacquiao and Mcgregor were getting ready for this last epic boxing fight in the middle of the east next year.
McGregor announced his retirement from the UFC this summer. But fans are still expecting the boxer to be in the ring. Because this is the third time he will be giving such an announcement. The fight represents a sensational return to the ring for McGregor who was defeated by Floyd Mayweather jr in 2017.
McGregor posted a photo of his message to UFC President, Dana White on Friday. The post showed he tried to arrange a return to the mixed martial art. He later tweeted, “Anyway all water under the bridge who gives a fook. I’m boxing Manny Pacquiao next in the Middle East.
The Irishman agreed to fight with Diego Sanchez who admitted he has given up on his dream of becoming UFC champion. Sanchez said he wants to be remembered as a great fighter in the sport. And underlined his plans to fight McGregor.
