Chelsea has spent over £200 million during this summer transfer window unlike Liverpool and it seems they are not satisfied with the completed deals. They still look forward to signing Edouard Mendy since the market is still opened for transfer.
The question is, can Chelsea win the defending premier league champions, Liverpool this season? We will get to know about that on Sunday. But long before the match has kicked off, things are already getting tasty between the two managers. While the blues have made almost a complete team signings, Jurden Klopp has only completed the signing of Konstantinos Tsimikas, who will play as a second choice for Andy Robertson this season.
The signing led to Klopp defending his club transfer, that they cant behave like Chelsea because they are ruled by an Oligarch.
Klopp said to BBC Radio We live in a world at the moment with so many uncertainties. For some clubs, it seems to be less important how uncertain the future is. Owned by countries, owned by oligarchs, that is true.
🗣 "We're a different kind of club"

Lampard replied to Klopp’s statement, he also pointed out that Liverpool has also spent a lot in the past.
When Lampard was asked about Klopp’s statement. Lampard said, “I was not annoyed with it, It was slightly amusing to me. “It’s a fantastic story of a club. Over four and a half, five years that Klopp has been there. That has managed to get recruitment right to a high level. You can go through the Liverpool players, Van Dijk, Fabinho, Salah, Mane, Keita. “Incredible players that came at a very high price.
Though it’s true. However, the reds are in the middle of their fourth transfer window spending a nominal amount.
Sky Sports have released a graphic that rounds up how little Liverpool have spent in transfer in last four transfer market. Chelsea has spent more than any other club in the last four transfer market despite their transfer ban. The club has spent £302 million.
Manchester United is the second club that has spent more on transfer after spending £255 million and Manchester City has spent £226 million. Tottenham is the fourth club to have spent more on transfer after four transfer market spending £186 million. Arsenal has also paid out £173 million in the transfer fee. Meanwhile, Liverpool has spent £23 million.
With less spending, it not what you would expect from a club that reached the champions league finals twice and won one. And also won the premier league title.
If Jurden is able to drive Liverpool to win the premier league title this season despite not spending much, it will be nothing short of remarkable.
