How Super Eagles communicate amid Coronavirus: Next week, Gernot Rohrs’s team was initially fixed to play Sierra Leone, but the match was forced to be postponed due to the coronavirus.
The Goalkeeper of the Super Eagles Ikechukwu Ezenwa revealed amid the coronavirus, they have been communicating via WhatsApp group.
Amongst the 24 players chosen by Gernot Rohr to play for Super Eagles for the qualifiers match of 2021 Africa Cup of Nation against Sierra Leone was Ezenwa. But the match has been indefinitely postponed as a means to contain the virus from spreading.
The Super Eagles worked their trade diligently in European countries that have reported several cases of coronavirus. However, they discuss on their well being in WhatsApp group chat.
In as much that football activities in Nigeria are on suspension, Ezenwa revealed that he’s in the self-isolation period. He also said this is the time for him to get closer to his family and also to keep himself fit.
“Once the suspension is called off. The national team camp should be open. That’s why I have to train to keep myself fit. The Heartland Goalkeeper told Goal, ” I will have to keep doing what I am really good at”.
“In this kind of Job, we are always on the road at least three to four times a week. In such a time for me to spend more with my family.
“Now is the perfect time for me to spend more time with them and to make them happy.
“Everybody is being extremely careful with their health since the virus outbreak. Yet we do communicate via WhatsApp group, and we keep in touch with ourselves to know how we are doing our various clubs.
In the 2019 Africa Cup of Nation in Egypt Nigeria came third. The team has started in full time preparing for the 2021 Africa cup of Nations in Cameron.
The Super Eagles are sitting at the top of the group L with six points, after winning their first 2 games against Benin and Lesotho.
