He was tackled at the byline by Bernado Espinosa. After he had to change the play and made a backheel pass to Casemiro who nailed the ball into the net.
Casemiro and Benzema saves Madrid
Casemiro and Benzema had been the best performers for Madrid in the first half of the game. they made sure that had a goal before the first half was over. In a first-half attempt, Casemiro had caught the Espanyol goalkeeper Diego Lopez off his line from halfway. He crossed the ball to Sergio Ramos but Ramos couldn’t make the goal count after he headed off the goal.
Benzema almost got a goal after the first half but was saved by Madrid’s former goalie Diego Lopez. Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane had his mind out during the second half as he pulls off his jacket. He was stretching his legs as if he was getting prepared to play in the match. But he knows that 1-0 are vital ingredients in what it takes to win a title.
