David Luiz wants a Contract Extension
David Luiz’s contract will be expiring in few weeks ahead but the Brazilian wants his contract to be extended. Luiz said, the team has no fault on their loss, it was all my fault. I think the team did play regardless of the 10 men, the players all played well the coach did well also, it was all my fault.
I made a decision to play I should have made another choice in the last two months but I didn’t. It was about my contract whether I choose to stay or not I have 14 days only to be here and that it. Today was all my fault.
I don’t want to use it as an excuse but its all my fault ad that how it is. I love to be in the Arsenal, that’s the reason why I continue to train hard, and that why I am here today. That’s the reason why I tried to do everything, that’s why I am putting my face up. That’s why I told the players not to speak, I am happy to be here and show my face.
I want to stay in Arsenal. The coach wants me to stay and we are waiting for the time to make the decision.
Arteta refuses to blame Luiz
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has also refused to criticize Luiz for his mistake. He said the error doesn’t affect the option on his contract.
Arteta said, Luiz is someone that is honest, straightforward and I am sure he will talk to you all and explain how he feels. My opinions haven’t changed since I have been on the team and it won’t change because of the bad performance tonight.
