Chelsea maintained champions league spot in a thrilling 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Crystal Palace were unlucky to get an opening goal with injury to Gary Cahill. Chelsea winger, Wilian took advantage of loose ball speeding past the eagle’s defense with a square ball for Olivier Giroud to score.
Christian Pulisic doubled Chelsea’s lead with a superb goal in the 27th minute to make it 2-0. Wilfried Zaha’s long-range effort brought Palace back into the game in the 34th minute. Tammy Abraham & Reuben Loftus-Cheek came from the bench & combined perfectly to get the third goal for Chelsea. Tammy slot in a through ball from Loftus Cheek. Christian Benteke replied with a second for Palace with only 30 minutes to the end of normal time.
Crystal Palace hit the post in injury time & Chelsea escape with all three points in a thrilling encounter. Chelsea has strengthened their champions league qualification with this victory. The blues will face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday.
Danny Welbeck secure Win for Watford
Danny Welbeck’s stunning goal sent Norwich closer to relegation from the premier league as Watford boosted survival hopes with a 2-1 victory at Vicarage road.
The Canaries took the lead in the 4th minute through Emiliano Buendia but a header from Craig Dawson gave Watford the equalizer. It took something special from Danny Welbeck in the 55th minute to seal all 3 points for the hosts. Watford is now 10 points ahead of Norwich & 4 points clear of the relegation zone. A loss for Norwich in their next fixture against West Ham will confirm their relegation back to the championship.
Arsenal & Leicester City both share points in a 2-2 draw at the Emirates stadium. Golden boy Bukayo Saka, set up Pierre Emerick Aubameyang with a great pass to break the deadlock in the first half. Leicester had a goal disallowed for a foul by Kelechi Iheanacho.
