Adama Traore made his competitive debut for Spain last night against Switzerland. It was far from a vintage performance from Spain, the former world champions mustering just three shots on target throughout the game.
The Wolves winger replaced Barcelona prodigy Ansu Fati in the 57th minute of the game.
La Roja securing a 1-0 victory to a 14th-minute goal from Mikel Oyarzabal.
But the Adama Traore certainly injected some life into the match during his cameo.
Seconds after coming off the bench, the 24-year-old embarked on one of his trademark dribbles.
Four Switzerland players attempted to stop the powerful forward, but they were simply left trailing in his wake.
Once Traore is in full flow, there is just no stopping him.
In just over half an hour, the winger completed a game-high four take-on.
For years, Traore was simply a runner, a physical specimen that could charge down the wing all day but had little to no end products whatsoever.
These days, the Spaniard is the complete package.
In 2019/20, he scored four goals and provided nine assists in the Premier League, his best goal in the English top-flight to date.

But it could have been so different. During his days with Barcelona, Traore confirmed that he was so approached about potentially switching sports to player NFL.
Traore said: ” Yes that happened. When I was in Barcelona, my personal trainer at the time told me he had a friend from the USA”.
“He said why couldn’t I go there and try the testing that they ( NFL teams) do”.
” I didn’t think about it. I thought it was funny. My dream is to become a soccer player.
And it’s going well. It could be better always. But it went well.”
The former Barcelona man’s improvement over the past 12 months has been quite spectacular and he’s now recognized as one of the most dangerous players on the planet
